Porn's Sexy Thai Food Review

To be honest, I have always wanted to try out Porn's to see how sexy the food is but never got the chance to do so.....until NOW. Thanks to OpenRice, Estelle, Damien & everyone else who made it possible. I love you.
And I love Thai food. And all kinds of food.
Okay moving on.

Porn's is a Thai restaurant owned by Pornsak Prajakwit and Foo Tuan How, though most people would recgonise Pornsak since he's a Mediacorp artiste.

The interior of the store that we went to at Star Vista.

Did you know that Porn actually mean "blessing or good wishes" in Thai?

Graffiti inspired walls, eye-catching display and colourful decorations! Makes the shop looks really trendy and hip :D

Went for the food tasting with 6 other gorgeous girls!

Good starter photo before starting my influx of food porn? ^^

Tom Yum Talay
Tom yum with seafood
Despite having a clear appearance without any trace of oil or chili at the surface, don't let this soup fool you because it burns all the way down your throat! With an appetizing and tangy blend of ingredients, I kept wanting to take another sip of this even though I had to gulp down a couple mouthfuls of water after each sip. There's just something about tom yum that is so addictive.

Tom Kha Talay
Coconut soup with seafood
Can't decide what soup to get? The Tom Kha Talay is all you need! Sweeter and less spicy than the Tom Yum soup, it has a fantastic blend of spices in a creamy coconut base. I finished up my bowl of soup! Gaaaah, craving for some now.

Gang Kaew Gai
Green curry with chicken
If there was only one dish that I have to choose to eat my plain white rice with, it would be the green curry. I am a huge fan of green curry and I must say that this taste awesome! There is a generous portion of chicken slices in the curry which has the right balance of sweet and salty, not too spicy for those who shield away from the fiery chili power.

L:Nam Takai, R: Nam Ga Jeab
L: Lemongrass drink, R: Freshly brewed Thai Roselle with lime
I got Nam Ga Jeab for myself which is a reminiscent of Ribena. The bright red Tha Roselle is sweeter than Lemongrass drink, which taste more refreshing.

Kapow Moo
Stir-fried minced pork with basil leaves
Filled with a mixture of flavours, this would be a good complement with plain rice!

Gai Tor Ga Thiam
Deep fried chicken with garlic
MUST. TRY. I had a hard time trying to stop eating these. This bite-size strips of tender fried chicken has the right amount of "crisp" to it together with mouth-watering garlic flavour, paired it with sweet and sour chilli sauce and you have the perfect addiction combination.

Pak Boong Fai Daeng
Stir-fried Kangkong Thai Style
Kang Kong are my favourite greens! This dish was a little too spicy for my liking but nonetheless yummy. Not to mention, I feel less guilty loading up on those spicy, oily Thai food after having some vegetables.

Pad Thai Talay
Seafood Pad Thai
There's no denying that you should try Pad Thai in Thai restaurants. I love Porn's Pad Thai, the noodles are smooth, soft and very delicious with a nice mild smoky hint to it. Try it, don't just take my word for it.

Khao Pad Sapparod
Pineapple fried rice
Shared a plate with Cookie! I love having my pineapple fried rice with green curry drizzled over it.

And what's a proper meal without desserts?

Khao Niew Mamuang, Khao Niew Turian
Mango sticky rice, Durian sticky rice
The fragrant sticky rice is covered with coconut milk with some toasted sesame seeds sprinkled on top. Coupled with pure durian flesh or sweet mango depending on your preference, a sweet treat to end our meal!

And because they're so lovely, they deserve to have individual close up shots.
