Gobdigoun Skincare review

Korean brand Gobdigoun is an advocate for using sheep placenta as one of their skincare ingredients. While the use of sheep placenta (or placenta in general) has been widely debatable for use, some celebrities such as Victoria Beckham, swears by it as their skincare secret to looking youthful. Their products are dematologist tested and made in Korea.

They have kindly sent me three products for review purpose all the way from Myeongdong so I'm going to share with you my experience using them! I have used these products for two weeks now and I have to say, I'm definitely seeing an improvement in my skin texture.

1. The Placenta Power Gel Mask

What it claims: Placenta Extract, known for it's abundant amino acid and petide and plentiful moisturizing ingredients will help you feel surprising elasticity and moisturizing effect on your skin. Bio cellulose constructed with similar structure to human skin protein will help you feel comfortable and smooth impression on your skin.

The main ingredients for this mask is sheep placenta extract, squalane and macadamia terniforlia seed oil.

What's special about the mask is that it is different from the other sheet masks in the market. It comes in two parts, one for the top half of the face and another part for the bottom. The material used for the mask sheet is also gel like and feels super cooling on the face.
It also has a light, slightly powdery scent to it which I love.
I used this face mask once every two days before I sleep and I noticed that my skin is always feeling soft, hydrated and supple when I wake up.

2. Placenta Power Aging Corrector Eye Cream

What it claims: The unusual mixture of Niacinamide and Adenosine in the Placenta Powder Aging Corrector Eyecream will help you brighten your skin tone and improve skin elasticity will be enhanced by the exclusive ingredients of Palmitoyl pentapeptide-5 and Acetylhexapeptide-8 (similar to botox). In addition to all these exclusive ingredients, this eyecream contains Australian sheep placental protein and swiss alphine based herbs to assist anti wrinkle effect.

I really love the packaging of this product! The box design looks really interested, not to mention the product itself looks like a really cool pen. You got to press the end of the pen to squeeze out the product.

The product itself is thick, which is good for an eye cream and it does nourishes the area around the eyes well.

3. Placenta Power 24K Golden Cream

The packaging itself is really luxurious. It comes with a screw cap.
When you open it up, the cream contains specks of gold in it. The cream itself has no scent to it and you got to rub it a bit more to spread up the gold specks onto the skin.

It feels really cooling and non greasy when applied and my skin instantly felt smoother too. I like using this cream in the morning after cleansing my face. I apply a thin layer as a base before I do my makeup and it just helps to keep my makeup smooth and easy to apply too.

Overall, I think that Gobdigoun is a brand that you should check out if you're interested in trying out placenta skincare products. Don't let the word "placenta" stop you from trying it out because it is the same as other skin care products in the market. If you're looking for something luxurious which works well, check them out! You can check out their facebook here:

If you want to purchase their products, you can just message them on facebook and they are able to ship it out to Singapore to you! Major plus because you don't need to travel all the way to Korea just to get it.
